Food Distribution

& Backpack Program

At Putnam Christian Outreach, we believe that no one should go hungry. That’s why we are proud to offer the Food for Friends Program, a vital initiative providing food to those in need throughout our community.

How It Works:

Thanks to generous donations and the support of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), we are able to distribute nutritious food to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Our goal is to ensure that everyone has access to fresh, healthy meals, no matter their circumstances.

When & Where:

  • 3rd Monday of Each Month – A special food distribution event, open to all who need assistance.

  • Daily Donations – Food is available every day for those in urgent need.

Who Can Receive Assistance?

Anyone in need is welcome! Whether you are facing temporary hardship or ongoing food insecurity, we are here to help. There are no strict requirements—just come as you are.

How to Get Involved:

We rely on the generosity of donors and volunteers to keep this program running. If you would like to contribute, you can:

  • Donate Food – Non-perishable and fresh food donations are always welcome.

  • Volunteer – Help with sorting, packing, and distributing food.

  • Give Financially – Monetary donations help us purchase essential food items and support the program's operations.

Putnam Christian Outreach, in partnership with All Angles Episcopal Church in Eatonton has received a $24,000 grant from the Episcopal Community Foundation to be used for the PCO Children’s Backpack Ministry. The need for this additional funding was a result of the great increase in the need for backpacks expressed by Putnam County School teachers and administrators. This grant will be instrumental in funding the increased financial requirements resulting from the need to assist the children of Putnam County.

PCO and the Putnam County Community are very grateful for the blessing the Episcopal Community Foundation and All Angels Episcopal Church have provided for hundreds of local children and their families.
