Our Story

In the beginning, only local churches were involved in running PCO. With time, churches of all different denominations, local businesses, civic groups and individuals were all working towards helping us grow. For six and a half years, PCO depended entirely upon volunteers for its operation. Very soon it became evident that we needed employees so that PCO could provide more for the community.

In March of 1988, we hired a part-time director, staff and gained new volunteers. Support began to increase and many people were being helped. The facility began to be upgraded, gifts in kind and individual support also increased. Then, transformed to be open FULL TIME.

We have a governing body of Board Members who oversee all our operations. PCO has always been committed to changing lives in our community with food, shelter, household goods, and reasonable clothing. We will exemplify Jesus Christ in how we live, love and assist our neighbors. We will do this with Caring Hands and Loving Hearts.
